^   PRAYER FOCUS: NW COAST OF SUMATRA (INDONESIA)

The earthquake off the north-west coast of Sumatra that struck late last Monday evening caused panic across the Indian Ocean region, which is still reeling from the massive tsunami that killed some 300,000 people just three months ago on 26th December.  Pray that the weather will improve to allow equipment and emergency supplies to be flown into the islands without further delay.  Pray for all those involved in the relief effort.  Give thanks that a number of agencies were already close at hand and able to react quickly.  Pray also for those who have been bereaved; for those struggling to treat the injured; and for those who have lost their homes.  Pray that clean water supplies will be quickly restored.
