ROSEMARY KIRK SESSION has received the necessary permission from the General Assembly’s Union Commission to proceed with the selection of a new Minister. (Voters List available in both vestibules)

In a vacant congregation the choosing of a new minister is a responsibility shared between the Kirk Session and the congregation.  Any member may submit the name of a minister, in writing, to Wilbert Bennett the Clerk of Session by the 31st December for consideration by the Kirk Session at their next meeting in January.

PRAYER FOCUS FOR THE WEEK

We will remember in our prayers the Clerk of Session and the members of Kirk Session.

PRAYER FOCUS : MALAWI

Shirley Stronge will be speaking at the Hospital Christian Fellowship (HCF) in Ekwendeni tonight Sunday 12th; many of the students have problems at home and many don’t know Christ.  Pray for a real sense of freedom to share God’s Word and the seed that is sown will bear much fruit.  Continue to pray for these nurses as Shirley works alongside them each day.

LAUNCH OF NEW HYMNBOOK IN ROSEMARY

For the first time in its history the Presbyterian Church in Ireland has produced its own hymnbook.  It was launched in a big event on September 18th 2004 in the Waterfront Hall.  Since then it has been a huge success and is being received enthusiastically by the congregations of our denomination.  In Rosemary Church we will introduce and launch the new hymnbook, the Irish Presbyterian Hymnbook (IPH), in the morning service on 19 December 2004 and invite you all to come and join in.

Since we can put the words of hymns and songs up on Power Point, Kirk Session and Committee decided not to buy hymnbooks for the pews at this moment.  But, if you would like to purchase a hymnbook for your own use, there will be word and music editions for sale on 19 December before and after the morning service.  Also, if you would like to donate some hymnbooks for use in the pews of the church, please let us know or go ahead, buy some and we would be happy to put your dedication in if you would like your donation to be especially remembered.  C. Bradley.
