^   PRAYER FOCUS: OVERSEAS BOARD

The Overseas Board’s Review Committee met last Thursday, give thanks for the progress made to date; for the helpful input from many different people; and for the very real sense of God’s guidance as ‘conclusions’ and ‘recommendations’ begin to emerge.  This is yet another very busy month for the Board’s staff.  Pray for stamina, wisdom and continued guidance as the process moves towards drawing up a report and recommendations to be presented to General Assembly in June.

^   MAINTENANCE OF PROPERTY OFFERING for 2005

This year we have important work to do.  It is absolutely necessary to refurbish the manse before a new minister is appointed, together with on-going general up-keep of our church and halls. Offerings for MOP will be taken during this month of March.  Envelopes will be distributed to every home and also available in the church pews.  We trust you will respond with your usual generosity, and if you have not contributed previously please consider doing so this year.

^   NEWS FROM THE McCRACKEN FAMILY IN MALAWI

Stephen and Ruth have sent us a prayer letter, copies available from the church porch – please take a copy home and catch up on what the McCracken family have been achieving in Zomba.

^   SPRING FAIR DAY – 16TH APRIL 2005

The Autumn Fair and Plants and Pancakes committees have decided, due to falling support, to combine the two events in 2005, and would invite any member of the congregation to a meeting on Tuesday 15th March at 7.30pm in the halls to discuss new ideas to make this event more attractive to all.  Church organisations are particularly welcome to present their ideas at this meeting.

^   MEMBERS OF ROSEMARY ROLLING UP SLEEVES IN NORTH BELFAST

As part of the Community Relations Week 2005 Habitat for Humanity are inviting members of churches and organisations to help construct two houses in Ligoneil.  DIY experience or construction skills are not necessary, you just need to be basically fit and enthusiastic and willing to give a day’s work to raise the frames of the houses.

So: I was wondering, who would join me so that we could have a Rosemary Team rolling up their sleeves with Habitat for Humanity in our own town?

Our Rosemary day will be Friday, March 18th 2005 from 8.45am to 4.30pm.  To form a complete team we’d need 12 volunteers.  One is there already, so who wants to join me? Please sign list in the vestibule.

Christina U. Bradley.
