^ PRAYER FOCUS FOR THE WEEK
We will
remember in our prayers the members of our Ladies Bowling Club.
^ PRAYER FOCUS:
This
weekend, Gary and Mary Reid (and their youngest child, Samuel) are flying out
to Kenya for a week long visit during which they will meet with the leaders of
the PCEA to investigate together the possibility of their being involved in an
outreach project in one of the PCEA’s rural
parishes. This is an important watershed
for Gary and Mary and their family, as they continue to seek God’s guidance for
the future. Pray for Gary and Mary as
they go and for wisdom and insight for the leadership of the PCEA as they meet
and talk with them. Pray also for safety
in all travel and good health throughout the week in
^ THE SEARCH FOR A MINISTER
TO FILL THE VACANCY IN ROSEMARY
The
Kirk Session considered all the nominations submitted to it by the congregation
at the end of last year. It also
produced a brochure about Rosemary congregation. Session agreed that all the eligible nominees
should be contacted. Quite a few of them
asked for a brochure which was sent to them without obligation. Several of the ministers who received a
brochure have subsequently expressed willingness to come and meet the Kirk
Session. Following these meetings,
Session will consider whether to invite one or more (up to a maximum of four)
of these ministers to preach in Rosemary.
(Any such list will first have to be approved by the Presbytery Vacancy
Commission.) The congregation will then
have opportunity to hear the minister(s) and decide whether or not to issue a
call to Rosemary.
