PRAYER FOCUS FOR THE WEEK

We will remember in our prayers the leaders and members in the P.W.A. and Thursday Women’s Group.

PRAYER FOCUS : MALAWI (Karonga)

Clare McIntrye writes: “Angellah is the eldest (21 years old) in a family of eight and the only girl.  Four of her younger brothers should be at secondary school but because of the family situation they are all at home trying to scrape together a bit of money to live.  Angellah is the only one being educated but even then she has run into difficulties.  Just a month ago she was attacked on the way to school and there is a high possibility that she may now be infected with HIV.  Her mother has also developed AIDS so the family resources are all being directed that way.”  Although Angellah is a Christian, Clare says, “All her troubles are weighing heavily on her.  We often find that she just passes out from the pressure of it all.”  Please pray for Angellah that the Lord might intervene in her difficult family situation.  Clare and her friends have tried to encourage and pray with her but she needs the prayerful support of US ALL.

KIRK SESSION MEETING: Monday 22nd November at 7.30pm.
