SHORT-TERM SERVICE OPPORTUNITY OVERSEAS 2005/06

Community Development Project Co-ordinator in Kenya

A suitably qualified and experience ‘people orientated’ person (couple) is needed short-term to supervise the ongoing development work of the Galana Community Development Project near Malindi in Southeast Kenya, where Derek and Linda Roulston and family have been involved since late 2002.

The primary task will be to oversee the work while the current co-ordinator is on home assignment.  This will involve project administration and liaising with both the Galana Community Development Committee and the community at village level.

The vision of the project is to help the community move forward to a better quality of life and spiritual well being, by addressing areas of health, education, agriculture and evangelism.

The successful applicant(s) would need to be available to travel to Kenya in June 2005 and to serve for a period of 12 to 15 months.
