>   W E L C O M E:

A very warm welcome is extended to all who have joined us for worship today.   Visitors are asked to sign the Visitor’s Book in the porch and introduce themselves to the Ministers or any of the Elders after the service.  Anyone who wishes to join the congregation is requested to fill in a yellow card which can be found in the church pews and return it to one of the Ministers.

>   TODAY, SUNDAY 1st January 2006

Elders please collect Session Minutes from Wilbert this morning.

No evening service.

>   VACANCY

During the vacancy if you require the services of a Minister, please contact either Rev John Seawright (9085 4572) or Wilbert Bennett (9077 6266).

>   THE VACANCY

The Kirk Session is resuming its task of selecting candidates for the congregation to "hear" as together we continue our quest for a minister.  Accordingly members of the congregation are asked to submit the names of ministers they deem to be suitable candidates for Session to consider.  It would be very helpful and would be much appreciated by Session if the reasons for a nomination were also submitted.  All nominations should be given in writing to the Convener or to Wilbert Bennett, Clerk of Session, by today Sunday 1st January.

>   PRAYER FOCUS FOR THE WEEK

We will remember in our prayers the officers and boys of our Boys’ Brigade Company (77th Belfast) in all three sections.

>   PRAYER FOCUS: PAKISTAN

We need to remember and pray for those in the high mountains of Kashmir, recovering from the recent earthquake there, many of whom have inadequate shelter, and insufficient stocks of food to see them through the harsh winter weather.
