PRAYER FOCUS: PRAISE GOD

·         Praise God for the hope he gives to us in the gospel of Christ, in Christ we have new and eternal life.

·         Give thanks to God for the faithful witness of this congregation in the past.

·         Thank God for the working of His Holy Spirit, guiding, teaching and empowering His people.

·         Ask God to help us realise our gifts, abilities and talents and to give us opportunities to use them in serving Christ.

·         Give thanks to God for the many organisations and the work they do within our Church seeking to serve Christ.

 

PRAYER FOCUS: GENERAL ASSEMBLY 2-5 JUNE

·         God’s blessing on the Assembly and the Holy Spirit’s guidance in all its deliberations and that the decisions reached will bring glory to God and enable our Church to be effective in its life and witness throughout Ireland and in the wider world.

·         Wisdom and grace for the incoming Moderator, Rev Dr Donald Patton, as he chairs proceedings, and for the Clerk, Rev Dr Donald Watts, as he provides guidance on procedures and the business before the house.

·         The outgoing Moderator, Rev Dr John Finlay, and his wife Christine, as they take a well-earned rest and prepare to return in a few weeks’ time to their congregational family in Harryville, Ballymena.

Mary Cousins is going to run the ‘RACE FOR LIFE’ at Stormont today, 1st June to raise money for CANCER RESEARCH.  She is part of a team with her aunts, Gill Moreton and Louise Kielty.  They hope to raise as much money as possible.  They will be wearing T-Shirts with Sandra’s face on them.  Your financial support would be great and if you can make it on the day to support them then that would be great as well.  The following link has been completed by Gill on behalf of the team:
