^   PRAYER FOCUS: MALAWI

On Wednesday 22nd October, Dr Ngwira, the Health Co-ordinator for the Livingstonia Synod CCAP, was attacked and abducted by an armed gang near to his house in Mzuzu.  A new 4x4 vehicle (donated to the Synod by an overseas partner for use by the Msumbe Health Project in Chitipa), which Dr Ngwira was driving, was stolen by the gang.  Dr Ngwira was released at Nkhorongo some eight miles away from Ekwendeni.  He was badly beaten up but is slowly recovering as he receives treatment in hospital in Ekwendeni.   Give thanks that he was not more critically injured and pray that he will make a full and quick recovery, not just physically but also mentally.

(If necessary we have a team of flower arrangers).

^   LUNCH CLUB CO-ORDINATOR

Are you free on a Tuesday?

Could you take up the position of Lunch Club Co-ordinator?

This involves the week-to-week running of this very important out-reach to our senior members.  At present we have 4 Team Leaders and helpers in place who are experienced and enthusiastic, together with Minibus drivers.  A ‘tried and trusted system’ is operating and the current schedule is set to run until Christmas.  We need someone who would be willing to take up the over-all responsibility of co-ordinating the current teams.

If you could help, please speak to Wilbert Bennett 9077 6266.
