A very warm welcome is extended to all who have joined us for worship today.  Visitors are asked to sign the Visitor’s Book in the porch and introduce themselves to the Minister or any of the Elders after the service.  Anyone who wishes to join the congregation is requested to fill in a yellow card which can be found in the church pews and return it to the Minister.

 

TODAY, SUNDAY 2nd MARCH 2008:

·        Committee Members/Helpers, who have not already done so, please collect 2007 Annual Reports and MOP literature and envelopes from the church porch for distribution to members of the congregation (if possible, please try to deliver before  the AGM on Monday 10th March! As ever Thankyou.)

·        Presbyterian Herald – March edition, available for collection.

 

·        During the month of March we will taking contributions for the Maintenance of Property Fund.  Literature and envelopes are presently being delivered to each home.  Please give generously to this fund, envelopes should be placed on the offering plate.

PRAYER FOCUS:  PRAYER CHAIN

Ask God to continue to use this ministry and that more people will know the power of prayer in their lives.

 

PRAYER FOCUS: KENYA

     Talks between Kenya’s political leaders aimed at securing a power-sharing deal have stalled at present.

     Prayer Points –

·        For the talks to resume and that they will progress well and for the dispute to be ended peacefully.

·        Peace and security for all parts of the country and especially for the safety of those trying to bring help to those in need.

Derek and Linda Roulston send the following requests for thanksgiving and prayer:-

Give thanks for:

·        Three young men who have completed six months training in outreach and evangelism and who are now back in Galana working seeing fruit for their labour.

·        The new Christians who have come to faith; pray that they may continue in God’s grace.

·        The progress in the footbridge; the design is now completed and foundations marked out on site.

Pray for:

·        The Galana Committee as they have been requested by another community 80km south of Galana to help start a new community development project there.

·        For Derek travelling next week to Honduras to receive training in bridge building for two weeks.
