^   PRAYER FOCUS: KENYA

The PCEA girl’s secondary school in Tuum is now open.  On Monday (29th) 15 pupils arrived for the first intake day at the school and other pupils will be starting at the school throughout the week.  Books and desks arrived at the school on Tuesday (30th), and although some work on the facilities at the school has yet to be completed, the school has been able to open and will be able to function satisfactorily in the meantime.

Prayer Points –

·        Give thanks for the building of the school and that it has now opened.

·        Give thanks for the money provided to finance the building and equipping of the school and for the hard work of many people on this project, including Stephen and Angelina Cowan.

·        Pray for Mrs Mwangi, the head teacher of the new school and for other teachers at the school as they begin lessons.

·        Pray for the students as they settle into the new school and for the whole Christian ethos to permeate the school.

Last week there was a robbery in the office in Tuum in which money from the project office was stolen.  This is the first time this has happened.

          Prayer Points –

·        Pray that the money will be returned and that God will work in and through this situation and bring repentance and restoration for all involved.

·        Pray against any act of revenge on any possible suspects of the robbery.

^   PRAYER FOCUS FOR THE WEEK

We will remember in our prayers the members of our Men’s Fellowship.

^   ANNUAL AUDIT

Under the rules of the Presbyterian Church, all organisations must have an annual audit of their financial records and these details included in the ‘Annual Return’ made by Rosemary Church.  If you have not already done so, treasurers are requested to present their books to the Auditor (Wendy Thompson) or Roy Eakin immediately so that the return can be completed on time.  Time is running out!
