>   PRAYER FOCUS: INDONESIA

Leaders in GKS, our partner church in Sumba, are very busy at present as they prepare for the Annual Assembly of GKS’ Synod Executive Council, taking place from 6th to 11th March.  A special participatory workshop held in January of this year helped develop a draft document setting out long-term policy and programmes for GKS for the period 2006-10.  This draft proposal will be the main focus during GKS to be considered.  Pray for the Annual Assembly Meeting and for the students at the Practical School of Theology (PTTG), opened last November, who are undertaking mid-semester exams; and the many challenges faced by PTTG as it seeks to train evangelists.  Also pray for Mervyn McCullagh, as he recuperates after receiving medical treatment in Singapore; and in his work with STIE and GKS.

     >   CHRISTIAN AID CO-ORDINATOR URGENTLY NEEDED!

·        Rosemary Church needs a volunteer to co-ordinate the door-to-door collection for Christian Aid Week during the month of May each year.

·        We already have a number of people who act as collectors.  The co-ordinator’s role will be to distribute envelopes to these collectors and then count and bank the donations received.

·        Christian Aid relies heavily on local churches to help with the door-to-door collection and every church in the areas has a designated person who puts this all together.

·        Please think about this carefully and consider, would you have a few hours free during 1-2 weeks in the year to help Christian Aid, if the answer is ‘YES’ please contact the following:

·        Heather Carson (9071 5451) / Wilbert Bennett (9077 6266)

(Heather has looked after this position for a number of years and would be pleased to pass on her experience and knowledge to a new co-ordinator).
