PRAYER FOCUS: Pray for …

·         The ministry of God’s Word; that it would be proclaimed with clarity and boldness, in the power of the Holy Spirit and that God’s people and others would receive it wholeheartedly.

·         Those who have been going through difficult times recently, bereavement, illness, age, conflict or difficult circumstances.

PRAYER FOCUS: MALAWI

The David Gordon Memorial Hospital (DGMH), where Una Brownlie serves, continues to be busy providing much needed medical care to people in the Livingstonia area.  Robertson Gondwe, who is in-charge of DGMH, shares a number of points for prayer:

·         Thank the Lord for providing DGMH with sufficient finances for April and May; and, except for some salary costs, that DGMH should have enough money to cover running costs through to the end of June.  Pray that there will be sufficient funding to meet ongoing needs.  Give thanks that despite the financial crisis, all DGMH’s staff members are totally dedicated to the work they do in the hospital.

·         Pray for Una Brownlie and the staff in their daily work, and that the management and Synod will continue to have knowledge and wisdom from God to run the hospital and its ancillary services well.

·         Dr Maureen Stevenson and two friends, Elizabeth and Dorothy, are currently on a short visit to the hospital, providing a helpful contribution to the work in the form of staff training.  Give thanks for all who support DGMH through the Livingstonia Partnership.
