^   PRAYER FOCUS: NEPAL

Give thanks that Joe and Janet Campbell continue to settle into Kathmandu where Joe will be taking up the role of ‘Peace and Conflict Transformation Advisor with UMN.  The Prime Minister of Nepal and the top Maoist leader are holding summit-level peace talks today Sunday 8th October.  This is an important meeting, as peace talks which began following the Maoists’ ceasefire in April had recently stalled, mainly over the refusal of the Maoists to disarm and the government’s insistence that they do so before joining the government; and also over the future of the monarchy.  Please continue to pray for renewed efforts aimed at moving the peace process on and for the development of fair and just government for all the people of Nepal.

Please place your envelope on the offering plate during this month of October (mark the envelope clearly with name, address and FWO number).  Envelopes are also available in the church porch.  Home Mission Briefing Leaflets available in the pews, please take a copy home.
