PRAYER FOCUS: FRIDAY BIBLE CLUB

Pray that through the club young people might learn the truth of God’s word and that they would know Christ as their Saviour and Lord.

 

PRAYER FOCUS: MYANMAR (BURMA)

Tens of thousands of people have been killed and up to a million have been left homeless in the Irrawaddy delta region of the country, following the passing of Tropical Cyclone Nargis over the region last Saturday. Survivors are now facing disease and hunger, due to poor sanitation, lack of clean drinking water and food.  Pray for all those affected by the diaster that they will get all the humanitarian assistance they require quickly.

 

P.C.I. HOME MISSION APPEAL – MAY 2008

     During the month of May each year we take our United Appeal Home Mission collection.  Literature and envelopes are presently being delivered to each household in the congregation.  Please make cheques payable to ‘Rosemary Presbyterian Church’.  

 

QUIZ AID – FRIDAY 16TH MAY, 7.30PM : CHURCH HALLS

     We are organizing a FUN QUIZ NIGHT FOR ALL AGES

     in aid of Third World Charities including Christian Aid.

     INVITE YOUR FRIENDS AND MAKE AN EVENING OF IT!

 

SPRING WALKS

     This week’s walk will take place along the Bloomfield Walkway part of the old Belfast/Comber rail-link.  For those who want to discover a hidden part of the city please meet at the Arches Health Centre Carpark Holywood Road at 7pm on Monday night.

CHRISTIAN AID SALE IN FORTWILLIAM CHURCH HALLS

     Stalls: Traidcraft / Bookstall / Good Quality Clothes / Jewellery /

     Toiletries & Fancy Goods / White Elephant.

     Fresh delicious Pancakes available !!!

     (Gifts for stalls can be left at the Fortwilliam/McCrory Hall on Friday afternoon or evening.)

 

CHRISTIAN AID envelopes will be available in the church pews on Sundays 11th & 18th May. These envelopes can be placed on the offering plate.  Please make cheques payable to ‘Rosemary Presbyterian Church’.

 

RAINBOWS - Please note no meeting on Monday12th May. Next meeting on Tuesday 13th when the girls go to visit Holy Trinity Rainbows as part of the 21st birthday celebrations of the Rainbow Movement.

 

ALZHEIMER’S TEA MORNING – FRIDAY 16TH MAY, 10AM TO 12 NOON.  MINOR HALL

This year the Rosemary Painting Group are joining the North Belfast Crochet Classes to raise funds for this very worthy cause.  Please make a special effort to support this as a lot of work and preparation has gone into organizing this event.  For the benefit of those who work during the day, there will be a chance to preview the display on Thursday 15th May from 7.30pm.

 

SUMMER CLUB LEADERS

     A brief meeting will be held after next Sunday morning’s service (18th).

 

The Church Committee is very grateful to Horace Love, who for many years has opened and closed our premises while the Church Officer is on holiday.  Horace regrets he will no longer be able to fulfill this function.  We are now looking for someone who lives close to the church and would be willing to undertake this role.  If you would be interested in helping with this important part of the life of Rosemary Church, please contact:
