We will remember in our prayers the leader, helpers and children in our Creche.

>   PRAYER FOCUS: BRAZIL

Namoi Keefe continues her work in Recife with the Casa Caiada congregation working amongst the city’s rubbish tip community.  Pray for continued wisdom and guidance for those involved in the project; and for stamina and enthusiasm, together with creativity, to transmit the good news of the gospel.  The ‘rubbish tip’ community, that the Holy Spirit would open the eyes of the children, together with their parents to see Jesus, and that whole families would be transformed, bringing glory and honour to our God. The older teenagers and parents for whom plans are being made to start Bible orientated work experience projects and co-operatives. Wisdom for Naomi as she looks for a house to live in which is closer to the community.

>   PRAISE GROUP REHEARSAL

·        Next praise group rehearsal Sunday 19th March, 3.15pm in the Church.  We will be practising some songs for the Anniversary Service on 26th March, as well as some new songs for the Palm Sunday morning service on the 9th April.

·        We also hope to meet at 10am on the 26th March for a practice before the services begins.

·        So if you want to have the opportunity to learn some of the exciting new Easter worship songs please come along and join us on the 19th March at 3.15pm.

>   M A I N T E N A N C E    O F     P R O P E R T Y    A P P E A L

·        During last year we refurbished the manse and it is now ready for decoration when a new minister is called.

·        The fence at the church halls was completed in mid December and has certainly improved security around the property.

·        Disability access has one or two small tasks outstanding, work on which should commence shortly.

Unfortunately we are facing further major work at the church halls.  Due to the age of the buildings and the central heating system there is a severe water leak either under ground or under floor, from the buried iron pipe work.  We do not yet know the options but we are facing huge repair costs in addition to our normal maintenance expenditure.

Therefore during this month of March we would urge all members to consider contributing to the MOP Fund.  Envelopes are presently being delivered to every home or can found in the church pews.

>   CHRISTIAN LOVE FOR INDIA’S ORPHANS

CLIO has developed a program to rebuild two churches damaged by the Tsunami.  They would like bibles/study books (but no Biographies) for the use of Pastors and Christian workers.  CAN YOU HELP?

A box is available in the porch for this purpose.
