A very warm welcome is extended to Cecil McCullough and to all who have joined us for worship today.  Visitors are asked to sign the Visitor’s Book in the porch and introduce themselves to the Ministers or any of the Elders after the service.  Anyone who wishes to join the congregation is requested to fill in a yellow card which can be found in the church pews and return it to one of the Ministers.

>   PRAYER FOCUS: KENYA

Grenville and Georgina Hopkinson and family arrived safely in Kenya and have spent a productive week in Nairobi receiving initial orientation and completing the paperwork for their work permit.  They are now in Malindi, where they will be living for the next year whilst they oversee the work in Galana, while the Roulstons are on home assignment.  Unfortunately the accommodation they expected to move into is now undergoing repairs and they have not been able to move in.  Pray that they will find appropriate accommodation soon.

>   AMERICAN GUESTS

On Sunday 2nd October, 22 students from Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington State, USA, will be worshiping with us.  They are on a European study tour and will be in Northern Ireland from 29th September to 4th October.  They would especially like to meet people rather than just be ‘tourists’.  It is therefore suggested that we seek volunteers who would be willing to meet them at the end of the morning service on Sunday 2nd October and bring 2 of them home for lunch and return them to the halls at 6.00pm.  This is the second time students from Whitworth have visited us and their previous time with us was a highlight of their time in the UK and Ireland.  If you are willing to be a host please give your name to Trevor Long (90710012).

>   ROSEMARY DRAMA GROUP

“Stop it Nurse” an Ulster Comedy by Sam Cree

Friday 23rd & Saturday 24th September at 8.00pm in the Main Hall

     Tickets: £5 / £4 Concession

Available from Wilsons of Henderson Avenue, any member of the Drama Group or pay at the door.

>   HELP NEEDED

Our Youth Club is continuing to grow with over 195 young people attending on the opening night and our success means we need more help.  We would therefore like to invite anyone who would be willing to become a helper - perhaps once or twice a month - to contact the Leader in Charge, Trevor Long, or any of the other leaders.  You’re assistance might simply be to supervise the perimeter of the halls grounds or serve behind the Tuck Shop.  The Club meets most Friday evenings from 7.30 to 10.00pm.

Trevor can be contacted on 9071 0012.

>   ANNUAL REPORT EDITOR

Jimmy Paul has for many years meticulously and successfully compiled our Annual Report which is distributed to each family in the congregation.  Jimmy informed the Committee that he wishes to relinquish his duties but is very willing to help his successor to get settled into the job.  He has created a “tried and trusted method” which works very well.  It involves collating the information needed (most of which is already on file but requires updating each year) and making sure the printers have it on time!  Work on the report starts around the beginning of December and is completed in mid February.  Do you have the skills and the necessary time to take on this job?  Please think about it.  Speak to Jimmy (9086 1743) who will be happy to take the time to fill you in on what is involved and answer any questions.
