PRAYER FOCUS: PRAYER MEETINGS / FELLOWSHIP GROUPS

·        Pray that we would know the presence of God in each of these meetings.

·        Pray for our midweek meetings that we will experience true fellowship and teaching from the Lord.

·        Pray for good numbers of people to be involved in fellowship groups and pray that participants would continue to grow in their faith as they study and pray together.

PRAYER FOCUS: PAKISTAN

Ron and Hilary McCartney are settling into their new home in Lahore.  A bomb exploded last week in the centre of the city killing 20 people (mostly police), and injuring many others.  The people of Lahore feel shocked and hurt – something many of us in Northern Ireland can understand and empathise with after the experiences during the troubles here.

Prayer Points: -

·        For the people of Lahore and for those who are working for peace in Pakistan, that they may not be discouraged, but may know the peace of God which transcends human understanding.

·        For protection for Ron and Hilary and the staff and students at Forman Christian College.

·        Continue to remember the political situation in Pakistan in your prayers.  Pray for peace, for free and fair elections and for just and fair government for all the people of Pakistan.

This evening is for parents also teachers, ministers and youth leaders and will be taken by CEOP (Child Exploitation Online Protection) on Monday 28th January 2008 in the Assembly Hall, Church House at 7.45pm.

It has become so important to ensure that our children and young people stay safe while using computer and mobile phones.
