>   PRAYER FOCUS: KENYA,    Olkinyiei – Gary and Mary Reid write,

“We give so much thanks to God for this past weekend in Olkinyiei: for the growing enthusiasm amongst the young Maasai elders (and even the women who have started collecting stone!); and the growing relationships between us all.  We praise God for their keen interest in the building work which is about to begin, as already they have helped Gary to bring the water down from the spring to the site.  We also give thanks to God that we have got a builder to help Gary to erect the electric fence, and to build the evangelist’s house, and then our own dwelling house.”  However, the Reids also have some sad news to report – a young local man was killed by a buffalo last week.  Prayer Points: Give thanks for the growing enthusiasm among the Maasai and for the relationships being built.  Thanks for a builder to help Gary with the impending work.  Pray that Christ’s Name will be glorified amongst these very precious souls.  Pray for the grieving family and community of the young man killed by the buffalo.

UNITED APPEAL “GETTING THINGS DONE TOGETHER”

The Presbyterian Church is committed to a £10m mission programme for 2006.  That’s how seriously its members want to follow Christ’s command to tell the whole world about God’s love.  The programme is the continuing work of the mission agencies of our Church, providing effective outreach that requires the resources of the whole Church and at the same time supporting congregations in their work and witness at local level.

·        Literature and envelopes will be delivered to each home during this month of May.  We encourage everyone to give generously
