MIDWEEK FELLOWSHIP

Wednesday, 24th October at 7.30pm in the Minor Hall.

PRAYER FOCUS : BOYS BRIGADE

·        Pray for the Anchor Boys, Junior Section and Company Section, as they carry out the programme of physical, mental and spiritual activities, especially for the group of leaders in doing this important work.

·        Pray that the boys will co-operate and gain an interest in what is happening.

PRAYER FOCUS : WORLD DEVELOPMENT APPEAL

This year’s Appeal, the second in a three-year series of appeals under the general title ‘Whose Earth?’, was launched on Thursday 18th.  The strap-line this year is ‘Seeds for Change’. The projects being highlighted this year are in Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mexico and India.  The story lines we have from Southern Africa are particuarly strong and compelling, illustrating that, in the midst of challenging circumstances, seeds for change are being sown by the poor, as they are being empowered to adopt development strategies grounded in best environmental practice.  Pray for these projects and that givings to the United Appeal will be forthcoming.

CRECHE ARRANGEMENTS:    Parents of young children, up to age 3, please note on the last Sunday of each month when we have a ‘Contemporary Service’ there will be no official creche, but if it gets too much for the children during the service there will be toys/books available in the choir room for their use!
