Preparation for World Day of Prayer (Margaret Sterrett)

(World Day of Prayer – 2nd March)

^   PRAYER FOCUS: MALAWI

Robin Quinn sends the following two prayer requests.  Ministers of the CCAP often have a huge task of caring for large congregations with few resources and limited or no transport.  This can be especially difficult for young ministers recently out of college and beginning their ministry.  Today, Robin and Helen Quinn will be visiting a minister who finished College in 2005 and who was ordained in June 2006 in a remote congregation.

The five Synods of the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian CCAP, three in Malawi and one each in Zambia and Zimbabwe, are seeking to address differences between them.

     Prayers Points –

·        Pray that young ministers will be guided and encouraged in their work by more senior ministers and staff of Livingstonia Theological College.  Pray that Robin and Helen’s visit to a newly ordained minister will be of help and encouragement to him.

·        Pray for the Synods of the CCAP as they address their differences.  Remember especially the group of former moderators of the CCAP General Assembly, headed by Rev Dr Silas Nyirenda, as they act as an interim executive for the General Assembly and seek to oversee the implementation of decisions made at the Assembly meeting that took place from 20th to 26th January.

^   PRAYER FOCUS FOR THE WEEK

We will remember in our prayers the members in our P.W.A.
