PRAYER FOCUS: SUNDAY SCHOOL

Pray for the leaders as they prepare their lessons and that they would know a sense of God’s guidance as they communicate God’s truths.

Pray for good relationships between teachers and their pupils.

Pray that parents will be affected by what the children learn each week.

PRAYER FOCUS: HOLY LAND

The Moderator Dr John Finlay asks for your prayers as he visits the Holy Land next week, Tuesday 29 April until Friday 2nd May, with the leaders of the other three main churches in Ireland in response to the urgent need to show solidarity with local Christians there.  The visit will focus mainly on Bethlehem and Jerusalem where they will meet local church leaders and representatives from the Palestinian Authority and Israeli Government and as well as seeing at first hand the relief and development work that is being undertaken by partners of Christian Aid and Trocaire.

SPRING WALKS!

This week’s walk will take place on Monday night at 7pm from Carrick Castle Carpark for a walk around the marina and then along the coast road ending up no doubt in Maud’s for a coffee!  See you there!

P.C.I. HOME MISSION APPEAL – MAY 2008

During the month of May each year we take our United Appeal Home Mission collection.  Literature and envelopes are presently being delivered to each household in the congregation.  Please make cheques payable to ‘Rosemary Presbyterian Church’.

SUNDAY SCHOOL PROJECT LUNCH

A big thank-you to all who helped in the preparation of last Sunday’s very successful Sunday School Project Lunch.  Also thank-you to everyone who supported the lunch and in doing so, enjoyed good food and good fellowship!  The total raised was £852.25!!!

(A small amount will be deducted from this figure for expenses).

CAN YOU HELP?

Have you any odd balls of double-knitting wool or medium sized crochet hooks which you no longer need?  If the answer if yes, please leave these items in a box which will be provided in the church porch.

Margaret Thompson is travelling to the Ukraine in July with a PCI Team and she will be able to make good use of these items for craft projects.
