^   THE NEW ALPHA CONFERENCE

CARNMONEY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH: 2nd to 3rd June 2005

…Churches are facing challenging times.  Whilst some are experiencing new dynamism and growth, others face the challenge of how to be relevant to a largely unchurched society.  Millions of people – especially those in their 20s and 30s – have no contact with their local church.

…Across the world, tens of thousands of churches are using Alpha as a tool for evangelism.  Many of these courses have resulted in people coming into a relationship with Jesus Christ, as well as being the source of renewed energy and life in existing congregations, and more young people coming to church.

^   ALZHEIMER’S SOCIETY

Thank-you to all who helped to raise a total of £250 at the “Tea Day” in the Minor Hall on Friday 20th May.  These monies will be used to alleviate the stress of carers and their loved ones in Northern Ireland.  The Belfast Branch is committed to raising funds for the outreach worker and the helpline.  Margaret Sterrett’s co-worker from the Holy Family Parish raised a total of £750 – together this makes a great total for North Belfast!

^   CRAFT AND STITCHING FAIR

Anyone interested in joining a group to visit the Craft and Stitching Fair in Dublin on Saturday 5th November please contact Margaret Sterrett (9071 6396) as soon as possible.  Unfortunately we were too late last year to buy Ulsterbus tickets – so we decided to organise ourselves early in 2005!  Tickets cost £19.50 which include entrance fee.  Bus leaves 9.00am from Europa Bus Station and back home approximately 9.00pm.  Lifts to station can be arranged.  Bring a packed lunch.

ROSEMARY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

FUN DAY

SUNDAY 5TH JUNE 2005

In the morning an All-Age Service of worship, including the Sacrament of Baptism with our young people, Sunday School and Friday Night Bible Club participating and taking leading roles.

In the afternoon, instead of going places and spending a lot of time on the road we invite everybody to stay on after church and spend the afternoon together.

Bring your own picnic, soft drinks or barbeque, rug or camping seats to sit on.  There will also be barbeques provided where you can grill sausages, meat, marsh-mallows or whatever you fancy!  After the food there will be games for the children, face painting, games for adults, time to sit around and chat and enjoy a bit of company and craic.  The afternoon will finish with a time of worship at around 5.00pm (no evening service).  Afterwards the opportunity to go for a walk up the Cavehill for those who still have the energy to do so!

So -

get yourself organised and come, for it is our Fun Day for you:

ROSEMARY CHURCH FUN DAY!!!

Look forward to seeing you all.
