PRAYER FOCUS: PRAYER CHAIN

Ask God to continue to use this ministry and that more people will know the power of prayer in their lives.

PRAYER FOCUS: PAKISTAN

Last Saturday (21st), a group of Christians were worshipping in a house in Peshawar (Northwest Frontier Province), when a band of men came in two trucks and kidnapped 32 of them at gunpoint, taking them off to the Tribal area.  In recent weeks, Christians from Charsada, Mardan and Peshawar have been receiving threatening letters, calling on them to convert to Islam or else to leave the area if they don’t want to be killed.  The situation is now very difficult for Pakistani Christians living in these cities and the surrounding areas.

Prayer Points –

·         Please pray for the safe and immediate return of the 32 Christians who have been abducted.  Pray that they, their families and friends, will remain strong in their faith and know God’s strength and comfort at this time.

·         Pray for the continued safety and security of all Christians in Pakistan.  Pray that their faith will only be strengthened by threats, intimidation and persecution.

·         Pray for wisdom, strength and protection for all church leaders at this time.

·         Pray that the Pakistani authorities will prevent such attacks from taking place again, and that they will ensure that all people can enjoy peace, security and freedom of religion in Pakistan.
