^   PRAYER FOCUS: MALAWI

     The 25 students who graduated from Livingstonia Theological College and were licensed for the ministry in October are being ordained in their congregations over the next few weeks.  Pray that they will be renewed in their faith; have a clear understanding of their calling; and have a renewed commitment to humble service; also that they will have a deep desire to faithfully preach the Word of God, and will be empowered by the Holy Spirit for their ministry.

A morning conference sponsored by the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, Peacemaking Panel and Church and Society Committee.

SATURDAY 18TH NOVEMBER at Whitehouse Presbyterian Church.

     The Conference Aim is to help Presbyterians to reflect biblically on the challenges of making peace with our enemies and to identify ways that model local accommodation within our community. Speakers:

^   A PILGRIM’S PROGRESS

The first programme of the series “A Pilgrim’s Progress” in which John Dunlop follows in the footsteps of Colin Corkey, Missionary to China 1936-41, will be broadcast on BBC1 NI on Wednesday 1st November at 10.40pm.  Please note the BBC can’t confirm that the whole series will be run on Wednesday’s at this time – so watch out for any alternative times!

 

^   AN INVITATION TO VISIT BETHLEHEM, JERUSALEM & GALILEE

on a personal visit with Clarence and Joan Musgrave

from February 28th to March 15th 2007. 

Clarence Musgrave has just completed 6 years as the Church of Scotland minister in Jerusalem.  Rosemary and John Dunlop went on a similar trip/tour a couple of years ago and would recommend this as a trip worth taking.
